My c1 83 panel has ripple or uneven surface on my panel had two technicians look at it a both day panal is delaminating and is not repairable lg customer service is worthless they say that is normal but none of the display Oled tvs show any signs of this problem and my was fine when I first got it this is an expensive tv and is unacceptable

Jury Is Still Out

I bought this OLED TV about the Middle of September 2022 it is now the middle of November 2022. After 1 week of use a green vertical line appeared from bottom to top of the 83 inch screen. I have called LG probably about 8 or 9 times trying to get it repaired under warranty. LG told me they would repair however no repair men in my area so they were sending it out nationally. Last update about a week ago and I was told they are either going to replace or refund my purchase and still havent heard back from them. I really just want the TV working as it should and not have to go through the hassle of getting a refund and getting another TV. When the TV worked without the green line it is gorgeous and I wouldnt change a thing about it. Now I just want it fixed so that I can enjoy sports and movies as I did for the 1 week without the cursed green line. If you buy this TV and it doesnt have the darn line you will absolutely LOVE it. I would be more than happy to give the TV 5 Stars if it worked without the line distracting me.

Put in our new media room. 83 is awesome. Only need power and the internet. Everything else is already installed. AirPlay/screen mirroring syncs effortlessly. Remote works great with streaming apps etc. And the picture is excellent. Very satisfied with this TV.

Spectacular picture quality

Amazing picture quality: blacks are blacker than my 5 year old LG OLED which was already infinitely better than anything from LGs competitors at the time. Sound from the built-in speakers is above average for tv speakers. Very clear and has actual bass if youre going that route. UX could be slightly improved as some settings are deep in the menus or greyed out without explanation. The one area which needs work isnt actually quality or usage related. LG needs to come up with a more intuitive workflow for attaching the stand on an 83 tv. Removing a tv of this size and weight from the box is hard enough for 2 people. Placing it gently on some type of flat surface like a table to attach the stand is very difficult especially if you dont have a table big enough to accommodate a gigantic tv in the room that youre setting up the tv. Im not sure if other brands have a solution to this either. Ideally 3 or 4 people are needed to physically set up this tv.

Noticeable panel uniformity issues gave it some time to see if it would go away and when it didnt tried to get it repaired under warranty. LG denied my request despite the service tech who was physically there acknowledging there was a problem. I dont have any complaints with the TV otherwise but paying so much for a quality product and being treated so poorly makes it hard to recommend.

This is my second C1. I have a 55 in my office and now this beast on my TV room. It is the best TV Ive ever had as far as picture quality. The built-in audio is OK but I typically use my surround sound when watching movies. For regular TV watching the speakers work OK. The smart features are fairly good but not better than my AppleTV. The main downside of the TV built-in apps is navigating thru the interface it is slow and sometimes a bit laggy. The biggest drawback overall to me is the lack of true 24p without judder. Yes the TV has option to smooth it out but it turns the picture unnatural with an evident soap opera effect. My JVC projector is much better handling 24p content so I know it can be done.

Purchased 4 months ago. Just a stunning picture and gaming options to boot Gaming on this 83 in the man cave is incredible. I was gaming on the 65 but the boss wife wanted that so got the 83 and Havent looked Back. Definition colors sound is good stand alone without my surround setup. Ease of menus etc etc just everything. I cant be happier. Especially with every update lg has these sets fine tuned and get even better. Awesome Job LG Highly recommend this set if you have the room.

Had trouble initially. TV actually arrived dead on arrival and required the oled panel to be exchanged. After getting it replaced I found that the picture quality to be significantly better than my old mid tier QLED. Wife didnt think the picture to be that much better. Although she thinks that A5 wagyu is the same as traditional beef. Otherwise remote and settings needed some time to get used to. There is a slight delay when navigating the menus. Cant comment on apps as I use an nvidia shield.
