It works decently except for the dry function which doesnt appear to work. But the customer service is horrific. I was jerked around given bad advice and hung up on three times by the same rep who would not let me speak to a supervisor when he didnt know how to help.

Worst A/c ever The temperature control is very inconsistent. Sometimes at night I wake up freezing because it did not stay at 73. Other times I cannot get it to cool the room and I have to set it to 66. Most recently it set itself to celsius and will not go back go fahrenheit I know Americans really should know the metric system... I called LG and they are supposed to send me a new remote that will fix this but so far I have not received it.

This product has lived up to its name in its ability to do what it promises. And provide a worry free experience. It cools the room quickly and efficiently and maintains the temperature on its own. Timing of this purchase was perfect before the heat wave. We usually have e a fan blowing in from the window at night. If we only want outside temp coming in the non-a/c blower is filtered. We get less dust in the bedroom.

Short term operation but great feature

I purchased this unit in July 2022 for a wine room cooler and installed then. It operated fine when installed. In November of each year I turn the unit off until April of the next year as the cooler temperature is not needed during the winter months in Alabama. In April 2023 I turned the unit back on and it operated fine until August 2023. At this time the unit stopped cooling. I would expect a new unit to last more than 12 months not continuous. With a 1 year warranty this is not acceptable. I have had other brands in there in the past that have lasted 5 - 6 years. I would not recommend the LG unit.

Compressor broke right after the warranty expired

We live in Connecticut so we only used it for 2 months the first year we owned it. It broke the following year right after the warranty expired. We took it to the repair facility recommended by LG and were told that it would cost more to repair than buying a new one. The repair facility also said that this is typical of LG compressors. We contacted LG and they refused to pay for the repair. I would not recommend this product.

Cant sleep with the LG 6000btu portable A/C

I bought this LG Portable A/C rather than the numerous other brands due to my satisfaction with other LG products that i own. The product cools well with a notable crutial exception. Due to the default non adjustable energy saving mode of operation once the set temperature is reached and the compressor turns off the fan also turns off a short while afterwards. This non adjustable function was confirmed by LG technical support and is normal. During the daytime this issue is not a problem. However when using the A/C in a bedroom the fan cycles on and off constantly throughout the night. The cycling of the compressor is not disturbing but the fan cycling on and off throughout the night causes sleeping for my wife and me to be nearly impossible. I bought the A/C to supplement central A/C at night in a 2nd floor bedroom. Due to the fan constantly turning off and on at night I am no longer using this LG A/C. If I had known that this function was present and not adjustable I would have never bought this A/C. It is no longer being used and is in storage.

Easy set up. I like the remote control and all of the functions. Blows super cold and does a great job for my room. I wish it had wifi connectivity. The 8000BTU unit does wifi so I was a little bummed that the 7000BTU next unit down didnt offer that feature. Other then that its solid.

Was good for a year and then a few months past warranty the intake fan got misaligned hadnt moved the unit for months and ended up cutting through the black plastic backing and then broke off a few blades. Now it blows out cold air for a few mins but switches to hot air as I guess it overheats.

We live in a 3000 square foot condo with two AC units. The one servicing our main bedroom and bath is at the opposite side of the condo so when it is upper 90s+ there was no cool air by the time it traveled that far. We were given an LG portable unit and were grateful for how it cooled the main bedroom. We bought this one a little smaller than the one we had to use in the main bathroom. I especially like the timer feature. It doesnt have to run all night. I set it for about an hour or less before I get up and the room is pleasantly cool when I get ready.

I bought this 6000 BTU to replace the 5 yr old non-functioning 8000 BTU LG portable AC for my bedroom. My room is a little smaller than the recommended square footage but I have high ceilings 9 and this AC cools off the room pretty quickly. Its not quiet so if youre using it in a room w/a TV you should wear headphones. For me its fine and doubles as a white noise machine. Its easy to clean the filters too. There are a couple things that need improvement:Draining the water that accumulates is a pain. I cant just lift it up it weighs 60-65 lbs and let it drain in the tub. Rather I have to use a low flat receptacle to catch the water which drains all over the floor anyway. I would also change the remote to one that lights up b/c its difficult to see what youre adjusting in a dark room. Other than those two things Im happy with my purchase so far.

I bought the air conditioner on June 17th and it works well as a free standing unit. However I was surprised at some of the features not advertised on the box as the store had no model operating in that section. For instance the unit also provide heat which I havent used yet. The timer feature is another surprise for the fact that you can have the unit turn on or off by setting it it increments in hours only though. I like that the air vent is not stationary. You can set it to send the cool sir straight up or angle it out to about a 45 degrees or have it oscillate automatically. I havent used the dry mode dehumidifier the fan works ok but I noticed that the high mode on the controls only works with the fan and/or the dehumidifier but not the air conditioner. I notice that you have to purchase a small garden hose to drain the unit in the Heat or Dry mode. My unit has dry mode which I havent used yet. The instructions that came with the unit I have points out that there are 2 model types.

After reading reviews online I decided on this model because it is designed for a room larger than the one I am using it in it keeps the room cooler than what it was before getting it. I followed all the troubleshoot instructions but no success. I am going to request a service but this is a surprise... I will see how LG will handle this for me.

I bought 3 of these and am happy with them. They work better than any of the previous portable ACs in the past. I just checked one after over a week of being on every day and nothing..... no condensation. Apparently they use the condensation to cool of the air conditioner. Wow at last they thought of it..... or at least these are the only ones that work in this manner? Anyway Im happy.

I am using a for garage that is a little bigger than the recommended space. I am insulating the door with foam as I am just using insulation wrap currently. However it does currently keep the garage cool enough to use as my office. I was able to run it out one of the garage door windows. I love the aesthetic and dual functionality with it able to run heat. I would give it five stars but my unit came without filters which was upsetting. Otherwise I really enjoy the unit.

Texas summers can be brutal on the home AC bill so I added the LG LP0621WSR AC unit to our bedroom and it has been a game changer. I run the house warmer overall at night but keep the bedroom frosty. I was supposed to have someone call me back from the refunds team but still waiting. My AC went out right when it started to get really hot. I had to get something to cool off my living room while I shopped for the best option for my AC in the house. It was really easy to set up and get the exhaust set up in the window. I cooled off really well and was really helpful in a time of need. We used it from when it was around 85 high to 100 and was really good to have

I have had this for about two months so far. It blows cold and can maintain temperature well. We like that is has a fan-only setting as well. Assembly was straightforward. The only additional thing I would recommend is sealing the window spacers with some non-residue duct taping to keep everything airtight.

Cools effectively however it is terrible in bedroom. The fan does not stay on and each time it cycles on it wakes me up. The fan is louder than the compressor Also- even though fan is sei in low- when it kicks on it is on high for a second before switching to low- very loud In addition- because the fan does not stay on to dry out unit I often notice a musty smell when I turn it back on. Customer service not helpful. Would work if used in office or other area while awake and if always left in. Otherwise its terrible.

Failed one week after warranty

Bought this one year and one week ago and now does not cool. Made several call to LG and gone though all the troubleshooting still no luck. And since I am 1 week out of warranty they will not help. I can search for authorized LG repair in my area and called several and none will work on a potable air conditioner. So a one year old portable air conditioner is about to go to the dumpster.

I am going on 6 months with this piece of machine. Here are my biggest problems with it. It is EXTREMELY LOUD. Though they do advertise its very quiet. Its not. I promise. I can deal with the constant noise if its constant. But it changes noise. It gets loud quiet or it makes weird noises. Like its about to give up. Second the pieces are not avail. You have to look no one knows how to fix them. The instructions manual do not mention ANYTHING about maintenance. Or what type of coolant it uses. When I bought it I clearly stated and asked what the maintenance was and they told me I didnt have to just to clean the filters.
